Abstract

We theoretically and experimentally study a novel non-breathing self-pulsating Brillouin-Kerr soliton resulting from photon-phonon interactions between a pump and stimulated Brillouin laser. This provides additional freedom to engineer and enhance the performance of soliton microcombs.
