Principal Component Analysis applied to the identification of spectral variations in depressed mouse brain

Abstract

Brain tissue from rats exhibits different composition and absorption FTIR spectra when compared health with a depression-like animal. When principal component analysis is combined with derivative spectroscopy, differences appear enhanced between healthy and depressed animals.
