Dispersion Compensation of Fiber Links Using Pruned Volterra Equalizers

Abstract

A pruned Volterra DFE equalizer is proposed for the electronic dispersion compensation in the context of direct detection optical links, leading to significant computational complexity savings, compared to the full sized counterpart.
