Abstract

Advances in growth of bulk birefringent crystals ZnGeP2 and CdSiP2, as well as all-epitaxial growth of orientation-patterned GaAs (OP-GaAs) and GaP (OP-GaP), are enabling development of highly-efficient frequency-shifted mid-infrared laser sources.
