Engineering Absorption Cross Section for Extraordinary Light Concentration

Abstract

We show that engineering the radiation channels in a phase index near-zero materials can significantly overcome the isotropic limit of the optical cross section of a single nanoresonator to achieve extraordinary large cross section.
