Multi-photon Quantitative Sensing of Electrostatic Molecular Interactions

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Femtosecond 2-photon absorption spectroscopy is used to determine the strength of local electrostatic field in the molecular vicinity of dissolved dipolar chromophores. Experimental techniques facilitating high accuracy 2-photon cross section measurements will be discussed.
