Hydrogenated Amorphous Germanium Optical Fiber

Abstract

Hydrogenated amorphous germanium step index optical fibers have been fabricated by high pressure chemical vapor deposition ensuring high hydrogen content thereby passivizing dangling bonds. These fibers can be used for various infrared applications.
