Abstract

We demonstrate the control over nonlinear optical response of carbon nanotube saturable absorber by electrochemical gating. We discuss the influence of intersubband plasmon, find the conditions for reverse saturable absorption and discuss how it affects the pulse generation in the fiber lasers.
