Waveguide arrays for mode-locking X-wave lasers

Abstract

We demonstrate the spontaneous formation of X-waves which are generated by mode-locking of a laser cavity in the normal dispersion regime where the nonlinear discrete diffraction dynamics is mediated by a waveguide array.
