Cavity solitons in vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers with frequency-selective feedback

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate cavity solitons in a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser with frequency selective feedback. The switch-on and switch-off dynamics are presented, together with the dragging of a cavity soliton by attraction from an injected field.
