Supermode Dispersion and Mode Transitions in Silicon-on-Insulator Waveguide Arrays

Abstract

We have measured and modeled the spectral group index of the supermodes of a two channel silicon photonic wire array. We observe the transition from two coupled waveguides to a single guided slot mode.
