Fast nonlinear optical materials based on ionic liquid crystals and glasses of metal alkanoates

Abstract

Novel materials are formed by introducing different photosensitive centers (both organic and inorganic types) into an ionic smectric matrixes of metal alkanoates. They exhibit fast and large nonlinear optical response with negligible small heating.
