Control of dispersive shock dynamics developing from dark waveforms

Abstract

We investigate the dynamics of 1D dispersive shock waves generated from smooth dark waveforms in the weakly-dispersive limit. Different forms of control of their dynamics as well as their stabilization against transverse instabilities are discussed.
