Beam steering using spatial OPA in Kerr media: a space-time analogy of parametric slow-light

Abstract

In a way similar to an optical pulse that can be optically delayed via slow light propagation, we theoretically demonstrate that beam steering can be readily achieved using optical parametric amplification in Kerr-type nonlinear media.
