Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate controlling second-harmonic generation in electro-optic photonic crystals constructed by cascading Pockels effects. The second harmonic spectrum shifts toward the transmission bandgap when they are overlapped due to effective nonlinear phase shifts for the cascading polarization coupling.
