Hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber cladding designs for third harmonic generation

Abstract

We present two novel silica cladding structures that have two well separated spectral bandgaps appropriate for frequency tripling. The low loss bandgaps are tens to hundreds of nm wide and support Gaussian like fundamental modes.
