Modeling the Dynamics of Frequency Comb Generation and Design of Planar Microring Resonators

Abstract

We model wideband Kerr frequency comb generation in planar microring resonators. We show that the dispersion can be engineered by suitably designing the microrings, and the dynamics of the frequency comb generation process is considered.
