Mid-IR Few-Cycle Pulse Generation by Two-Pulse Collision

Abstract

We propose a novel adjustable compression scheme by two-color pumping, enabling a coherent pulse source with pedestal-free few-cycle pulses in the mid-infrared regime directly in one stage, without necessity of an external compensation scheme.
