Abstract

Inter-modal nonlinearity in two-mode fiber (TMF) is tackled by Volterra-based nonlinear equalization. For ~260-Gb/s dual-polarization coherent optical OFDM at 1040 km the TMF inter-modal nonlinearity penalty is reduced by up to ~4 dB.
