Experimental investigation of the noise-driven thermalization of the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou recurrences process

Abstract

We demonstrate the noise-driven thermalization of the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou (FPUT) recurrences in optical fibers. We highlight the progressive recurrences breakup in favor of an irreversible spectral energy equipartition by driving the input noise level.
