Non-Linearity and Spatiotemporal Complexity in Phase-Conjugated Optical-Feedback Systems

Abstract

Novel spatiotemporally complex nonlinear dynamics observed in a phase-conjugate optical feedback system are experimentally captured and classified using chaos bandwidth (~30 GHz), quantifying complexity via permutation entropy (> 0.9), and real-time frequency and temporal analyses.
