Oblique Back-Illumination Reveals Phase Gradients in Thick Scattering Tissues

Abstract

Oblique back-illumination microscopy (OBM) is a new technique for imaging lateral phase gradients and absorption in thick scattering tissue. OBM works for unstained samples in reflection at video rates, and is viable for endomicroscopy.
