Abstract

Nonlinear optical polarimetry techniques, such as the second-harmonic generation (SHG) microscopy, reveal ultrastructural organization of materials including extracellular matrix of biological tissue. The nonlinear Stokes-Mueller polarimetry can measure the heterogeneity of media by determining entropy of susceptibilities.
