Statistical Analysis of Photonic Integrated Circuits Via Polynomial-Chaos Expansion

Abstract

The effects of parameters variability on the performance of photonic integrated circuits is modeled and analyzed through Polynomial Chaos Expansion. An accuracy comparable with Monte Carlo method is achieved with a higher computational efficiency.
