100μm-Core Double-Clad Large-Pitch Fibers with 3-Fold Rotational Inner Cladding Symmetry for the Preferential Amplification of the Fundamental Mode

Abstract

We present results on adaptation of the double-clad concept to large-pitch fibers with the 3-fold rotational cladding symmetry approaching a severe higher-order mode discrimination property in a core as large as 100 μm.
