An Inter-Modal-Coupling-Aware Heuristic Algorithm for Routing, Spectrum and Mode Assignment in Few-Mode Optical Networks

Abstract

We propose a heuristic approach for Routing, Modulation format, Baud rate and Spectrum Allocation in few-mode networks considering inter-modal coupling impairments. Performance is assessed in terms of spectrum utilization and transceiver cost.
