Nyquist Data Transmission with Threefold Bandwidth of the Utilized Modulator

We demonstrate simple, high-speed data transmission with low-speed electronics and photonics, for on-chip integration. In preliminary experiments, a 60 Gbit/s PAM-4 transmission was achieved with 10 GHz photonics and electronics.
