Novel asymmetric splitting MMI based flatband optical (de)multiplexer for CWDM applications

Abstract

We propose novel flatband optical demux operating at 80-nm-wide spectral range with good productivity. Flat spectral response with low spectral crosstalk was theoretically demonstrated by adopting asymmetrically splitting MMI couplers in multistage delayed interferometers.
