Adaptive Joint Pre-/Post-Equalization of Spectrum Narrowing Caused by Cascaded Photonic Nodes

Abstract

We propose a joint pre-/post-equalization scheme that uses Bayesian optimization and the LMS algorithm for mitigating the spectrum narrowing induced by repetitive node traversals. The transmissible distance and hop-count in ultra-dense WDM networks are extended.
