Highly Coupled High Power Pump Laser Modules

Abstract

The key technologies to high power pump modules are not only fabrication technologies of high power LDs but also efficient packaging technologies, especially high coupling technique of LDs to SMFs. In this report are (1) optimization of coupling optics along with LD's structures and characteristics introduced, and (2) resulting performances.
