Ultra long-haul DWDM transmission via nonlinearity management

Abstract

A new quasi-linear approach based on an optimal combination of pulse width, pre-chirp, dispersion management, wavelength grooming, and distributed Raman amplification makes it possible to design ultra-long haul DWDM systems with large system tolerance.
