Ultra-Wide Dynamic Range Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers Employing Variable Attenuation Slope Compensator

Abstract

Employing variable attenuation slope compensators, we propose automatic-level- controlled erbium doped fiber amplifiers, which have exhibited a wide dynamic range as large as 20 dB with small dynamic gain tilt and good noise performance.
