Abstract

A Raman fiber amplifier providing small signal gain of over 30dB in the U-band has been demonstrated. In addition, we present a dual wavelength pumped Raman amplifier with broad flattened gain (ripple better than 1.5 dB) over the spectral range 1600-1670nm.
