Abstract

We propose a new monitoring method of gain tilt for DWDM submarine cable system with simple configuration. This method can be applied to DWDM submarine cable systems on in-service condition without dedicated wavelengths. The relation between the monitoring sensitivity and pre-emphasis is studied.
