Abstract

We propose a novel dispersion tolerant system using single-side-band direct detection (SSB-DD) of duobinary-carrier-suppressed return-to-zero (DCS-RZ)[1] signal using spectral filtering. We confirmed the feature of high nonlinearity and dispersion tolerance experimentally at 43 Gbit/s.
