Reduction of pattern dependent stimulated Raman scattering crosstalk by codirectional Raman pumping

Abstract

Pattern dependent crosstalk in a 160×10Gbit/s DWDM transmission system induced by stimulated Raman scattering was analyzed experimentally. Reduction of the crosstalk magnitude by the application of codirectional Raman pumping could be demonstrated.
