Abstract

The transmission of 80 channels at 42.7Gb/s is demonstrated over 9×100km of TeraLight™ fiber. The high information spectral density of 0.8bit/s/Hz is obtained without Polarization Division Multiplexing and Demultiplexing, by applying vestigial sideband NRZ transmission format.
