Abstract

We study the performance a of 40 Gb/s WDM system in pseudo-linear regime of transmission for different modulation formats by numerical simulations. We show that the combination of modified duobinary modulation format and suppression of intrachannel nonlinearities using a symmetric dispersion map yields a substantial improvement of the system performance.
