Analysis of WDM Signal Bandwidth Upgradability in Wide-Band DRA-Based System

Abstract

We theoretically and experimentally analyzed the upgradability of a WDM signal bandwidth in a wide-band DRA with consideration of the wavelength-dependent Aeff. The gain differences were 3 dB or less when the bandwidth was upgraded from 36 to 200 nm.
