Carbon Nanotube-Based All-Fiber Mode-Lockers with Tapered Fibers

Abstract

We demonstrate a novel all-fiber mode-locker functioned by the interaction of Carbon nanotubes with the evanescent field of propagating light in a tapered fiber. Our polarization independent scheme ensures high nonlinear effect from the nanotubes.
