Abstract
Many beautiful sky effects result from the interaction of sunlight with minute ice crystals falling through the air. Both familiar and unfamiliar, they can be seen by any interested person, with no special equipment. The origins of several sky effects will be discussed. Slides and demonstrations will illustrate the wealth of interesting things that can be seen in the sky.
