Abstract
Spectra of the 3dto 2p, 3p to 2p, 3s to 2p, and 3p to 2s transitions of silver in the neonlike charge state are presented. The spectra have been obtained using a high resolution, curved-crystal Bragg spectrometer on the Princeton large torus tokamak. The silver was injected into the plasma via laser blow-off techniques. The electron temperature and density were ~3 keV and 5 × 1013 cm−3, respectively. The wavelengths of the silver lines have been determined relative to the Lα and Kα lines of argon which were recorded simultaneously with the silver spectra. The results for the wavelengths and line intensities are compared to theoretical predictions.
