Abstract

With aging, there is a decline in the temporal resolving capacity of the visual system. Recent evidence indicates that the type and degree of the decline varies with the spatial characteristics of the target being detected, suggesting disjunctive aging of the different channels composing the visual system, (e.g., Kline and Schieber, 1981).
