Abstract

Neural computing has the promise of solving random problems much more effectively than previous approaches. However, the very large number of interconnections necessary are difficult to achieve cost-effectively, even with optical computers. Formation of the neural network in the spectral domain drastically reduces the inherent problems due to data compression.
