Heterochromatic modulation photometry

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Heterochromatic flicker photometry and minimally distinct border are two methods of estimating luminance for individual observers. We describe a method of obtaining luminance for heterochromatic lights presented in heterochromatic temporal alternation. We present a series of fixed red/green luminance ratios and reduce the modulation depth until the observer reports that flicker disappears.
