Abstract
Accurate colorimetric calibration of color monitors is best done by making spectrophotometric measurements. Instruments capable of making these measurements, however, are costly, often exceeding the cost of the computer and graphics controller. It is, therefore, desirable to have a technique for determining the chromaticities of the monitor primaries which does not require detailed spectral information.
