Three-dimensional diffraction analysis of phase and/or amplitude, single, or cascaded anisotropic gratings

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Gratings with modulation varying with depth are important in both bulk and integrated optics. These gratings can be modeled as a cascaded stack of planar slab gratings. In addition, single or cascaded anisotropic gratings with external anisotropic regions are important in integrated optics for switching, modulation, and optical data processing.
