Pressure sensor using optical fibers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Strain gauge pressure transducers have been widely used for measuring pressure. Electrical cables are subject to the influences of electromagnetic induction that accompany large currents and high voltages associated with power apparatus and power machines within a plant. Accordingly, the output from the pressure transducer is subject to errors.
