Abstract
A moire topographic model of a living body has been successfully used in clinical studies. This model has three optical advantages: its sensitivity can be adjusted; the measurable depth is very large (~150 mm); smooth grating lines with outfocusing eliminate the noise. This moire topographic method has demonstrated an 88% conformation with x-ray diagnoses. The forward bending test was also used, and a conformation rate of 64% was obtained. (About 5000 children were examined.)
