Efficient method for mirror metrology analysis

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Simulating a gravity-free environment during the metrology of mirrors intended for space application is crucial for their performance. One method of achieving this goal is to provide an optic support composed of a discrete set of off-loader points, each having a prescribed force value to provide minimal surface deformations on the surface.
